Amy's Pile: There's A New Beer Marketed As Wellness Drink

Raise your glass and cheers to a healthy beer! Marathon Brewing Company, a new branch of the Boston Beer Company, has created a beer that is being marketed as a "wellness" drink rather than an alcoholic beverage. The new beer called 26.2 Brew was created by marathoner, triathlete, cicerone Shelley Smith. It has 4.0 percent alcohol by volume, 9 grams of carbs and 120 calories. The golden ale is actually made in part with Himalayan sea salt to replenish your electrolytes as you drink it.

The point is you can drink this beer and actually replenish your body while enjoying alcohol that isn't ruining your workout regimen. This beer is not being marketed as a better option than say Gatorade or water but they do claim to be a better option that your regular beer.
