Kelsea Ballerini is celebrating this week after taking home, not one, but two CMA Awards during âCountry Musicâs Biggest Night!â
In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Kelsea revealed some of her favorite highlights from the past 12 months.
"It's interesting because my gut reaction when I think about the last 12 months it's like, "Ugh, that was tough." But, when I really actually think about it, so many wonderful career things happened that wouldn't have happened otherwise," says the country star.
Aside from setting the stage for the Jonas Brothers on the 'Remember This' tour, Kelsea named some standout moments that have really meant a lot to her in 2021. Â
"Kelly Clarkson called me, and I got to fill in on her seat on The Voice," says Kelsea. "I wrote a book. I remade an album. I have two collaborations out on two separate formats right now."
"I have done a lot of things that wouldn't have happened otherwise and things that I am really proud of," Kelsea says sincerely.  "So, I am not too mad at the last 12 months."
Kelsea and Cody both added âauthorâ to their resumes this year, but thatâs not the only thing that they have in common. Did you know that Kelsea and Cody were once neighbors? Itâs true. You can read more about Codyâs journey by picking up his book, âHearâs The Thingâ available now everywhere books are sold.
