Dustin Lynch “had no idea” he had a connection to Jelly Roll.

Lynch recently joined Steve & Gina in the Morning on iHeartRadio’s Kat 103.7, based in Omaha, Nebraska. The “Stars Like Confetti” hitmaker chatted about the collaboration he released with the reigning 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Artist of the Year, Jelly Roll. Lynch said it happened “organically,” thanks to a mutual connection he “had no idea” he had.

Lynch said he and Jelly Roll connected before the Beautifully Broken star “got on his rocket and really took off.” It was “an organic thing,” when they met via Lynch’s producer, Zach Crowell, who produced many of Jelly Roll’s beats early in his career. The pair rekindled their connection to talk about possibly working with one another on a country record.

Meanwhile, Lynch mentioned Jelly Roll in a conversation with Crowell because he noticed “how well he connected to his fan base,” he said on Kat 103.7. Lynch said his connection with Jelly Roll happened “organically” during a time that they were unable to tour because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They teamed up on “Chevrolet,” a collaboration that appeared on Lynch’s 12-track Killed The Cowboy record in September 2023. The collaboration has “gone on to be one of the biggest hits of my career.”

Next up, the “Party Mode” singer is continuing his Las Vegas club set residency and joining Scotty McCreery on their co-headlining “Two For The Road Tour.” Find Lynch’s full Kat 103.7 conversation here.
