Ya gotta admit, this was a hilarious twist on the ongoing social drama, against an ad I'm sure the folks at Peloton had no idea would turn so negative. Ryan Reynolds recruited actress Monica Ruiz, from the controversial Peloton ad, for his own commercial.
Monica stars in a spot for theDeadpool star's Aviation Gin. She sits at a bar with two friends, looking dazed. One friend says, “We can get you another one, if you’d like.” The other friend says, “You’re safe here.”
“Exercise bike not included. #AviationGin,” Ryan wrote as a caption.
Backlash for the Peloton ad has gotten so bad that the actor who plays the husband who buys the exercise bike for his wife is getting death threats. Sean Hunter tells Good Morning America, “People turned it down a pretty dark path — it turned into a pretty nasty thing.” That's so crazy! It is scary how quickly the internet community can turn on you! Let's just pray for everyone's sake, that people find more um.. healthy ways... to express opinions... You know like Ryan Reynolds! lol
