So a new TABLOID article claims that Gwen Stefani is ready to walk down the aisle with Blake Shelton, but she has two obstacles in the way -- ex-hubby Gavin Rossdale and the rules of the Catholic Church.
Gwen's a devout Catholic, and she's insisting on a church wedding, but according to church law, she can't have an "official" wedding until her first marriage is annulled -- a complicated process that says the union never existed in the first place.
Not sure how much credibility the story has, but supposedly a source close to Gwen tells the National Enquirer, "Gavin refuses to say their marriage never existed. He isn’t going to pretend he wasn’t married just because it makes Gwen’s life easier. He thinks it’s wrong and stupid. He isn’t going to let Gwen sweep their marriage under the rug.”
Gwen and Gavin officially ended their marriage in 2016 -- a year after she started dating Blake.
