For the first time ever, the iconic art supply company will retire a color from its 24-count box this Friday on National Crayon Day.
The big reveal will be made at an event in Times Square — where Crayola will also announce a brand new color that will take its place.
The 24-pack contains the colors red, yellow, blue, brown, orange, green, violet, black, carnation pink, yellow orange, blue green, red violet, red orange, yellow green, blue violet, white, violet red, dandelion, cerulean, apricot, scarlet, green yellow, indigo and gray.
Once the color is retired, Crayola will stop producing it for its 24-count and 64-count boxes as well as for its other products. The banished shade will only be available in boxes that are already on store shelves.
So which do you think it will be? Do you think this is a PR stunt like Monopoly folks retiring game pieces?
