Influencer Steph Bohrer said she was stunned when she received a note calling her "the most beautiful woman" in the world from a pilot who just "walked away" at an airport recently.
Bohrer, 23, said she was "sitting at the airport" when "a pilot just placed this on my table and walked away," in a video shared on her social media accounts showing a brown napkin that stated, "I have seen the whole world and you are the most beautiful woman in it," along with an unreadable signature and the bridge from Taylor Swift's song 'Enchanted' playing in the background. The travel and lifestyle influencer captioned that she "didn't even see his face" but wrote, "I was enchanted to meet you. Please don't be in love with someone else."
Bohrer's TikTok video received more than 11 million views and 1.6 million likes in just one day, though some users were skeptical of the pilot's intentions.
“He’s probably married with five kids,” one commenter wrote.
“He didn’t leave a number because he’s someone’s husband,” another claimed.
“This is probably his go-to pick line in every city,” another commenter posted.
“I’m not even trying to be negative, but there’s a reason he didn’t introduce himself or leave his number,” another claimed.
Several other users were much more positive.
“Damn the comments lol,” one user wrote. “Let a girl receive a no strings attached compliment in peace.”
“There’s nothing wrong if this girl believes in fairytales,” another wrote.
A 2018 study conducted by HSBC revealed that an estimated 1 in 50 people claimed they met "the one" while on an airplane among the 2,150 people from 141 countries surveyed.
