Mickey Guyton delivered a vibrant new single on the heels of her recent album announcement.
The Texas-born singer-songwriter released “My Side Of The Country” from her upcoming record, House On Fire. Guyton “invites everyone to let their hair down and join her for some down-home, country fun” in the “infectious new single,” reads a press release issued Friday morning (August 23) to announce the song’s debut.
“We got short beds and tall boys in cowboy boots. We wear Levi’s, take slow rides on Sundays too. And at the local beauty shop, y’all know the tea is always hot.”
“My Side Of The Country” follows “Nothing Compares To You” featuring Kane Brown, “Make It Me” and “Scary Love,” a heartfelt tribute to Guyton’s life as a mother to son Grayson. The full 12-track project is set to release on September 27. It’s Guyton’s first full-length album since her debut record, Remember Her Name, arrived in 2021.
