With below freezing temperatures on the way you need to make sure you're considering your pets needs for warmth. Just as you wouldn't want to spend a decent amount of time outside in those temperatures, your pet doesn't want to either. Yes, most have fur but in these temperatures that doesn't matter. Even if you keep your pet in the garage, you might consider bringing them in and making accommodations for them, because sustained below freezing temps will keep those garages, especially if they are poorly insulated, colder than what is comfortable for your pet.
