Why Your Kids May Be Talking About The United Nations Today

It's a dawn of a new day in our world... At the UN today, instead of the high level officials aka "the suits" speaking first, the young people who have broken barriers and become change makers in our world are speaking up and hoping to make a difference!

One of those empowered voices of today from the music world,s is a group called BTS!  A K-Pop group that has a "fan army" that surpasses most of those in the entertainment world!

At Just 24, lead singer Kim Namjoon speaks as an example of this generation, about how to take serious our responsibility to not only love yourself, but overcome the odds and "speak yourself!"  Telling today's young people you need to speak yourself and find your voice and to not allow the world to make you feel invisible.  He describes a  time, as a child himself, he would imagine he was a super hero and save the world.  It was later, he would become more aware of those around him and would alter his vision and belief in himself to what he perceived others view of him was and then, no longer could believe he could be that super hero. It wasn't until he could find in himself that source, to love himself, which admittedly is a journey, to now have again the strength to see himself in a healthy and positive way.

Speaking out as an ambassador for Unicef encouraging true love which begins he says, with loving ourselves and speaking up and only then can we seek to protect children from violence around the world. ❤️
