Michael Ray, Carly Pearce Invite Stranger To Join Their Thanksgiving Dinner

Michael Ray and Carly Pearce planned to have a simple, quiet Thanksgiving dinner together at Cracker Barrel, however, after noticing a man who was eating alone, the dinner for two turned into an unforgettable dinner for three. The couple and the 89-year-old man named Bill ended up closing down Cracker Barrel, talking all about his life experiences and who he is.

"We saw him sitting alone and asked if he would like to sit and have thanksgiving dinner with us not knowing the blessing he was going to be," Ray explained on Instagram. "We sat and for 4hrs listened to Bills 89 year story, learned about his 4 years servicing in the army and about his wife Alice that passed away 2 years ago"

He continues on to say they learned about "how they met and the life that they lived, learned about his love of books, the stars and classical music and so many other incredible things."

Before they knew it the three of them were the only people left in the entire restaurant.

"Bill eats slow, drinks his coffee black and loves ham a lot more than turkey, puts a cup holder over his coffee to keep it hot for longer and doesn't like that AT&T keeps getting more and more expensive," Ray continues. "He knows a little about a lot of things but I don't think he knows how much this meant to CP and I."

In conclusion, Ray expressed how grateful he and Pearce were for the time saying, "He put so much in perspective for us both. Bill and us now have dinner plans in January."

Pearce also shared the heartfelt story to her Instagram followers adding, "Thank you God for all the blessings and for my sweet husband who loves these moments as much as I do. My heart is so full."
